Willow here!

This
was me one year ago: In a flash my home and people I loved were
gone. A car hit me when I got lost and broke my leg in half. I was
left in a pool of blood on the side of a busy Dallas street to die
all alone. I was so scared!
Suddenly,
all around me were people from something called “Dalmatian Rescue
North Texas.” I had a big operation to fix my leg and care for my
wounds and infections. For weeks, the angels from Rescue took me
to the doctor constantly and nursed my injuries.

story contest.

Then, a nice
man and lady show up. They are volunteers for DRNT and already
have a special needs doggie with spots just like me! I have my
forever home!!! Mom is a nurse and sees my leg is infected. So,
off I go again to have another operation. News was good though
and the super excellent doctors and people at VCA Buckingham tell
me I’ll never need surgery again! Yeah! I rehab for weeks and
one year later:

I love my
Mom and Dad and doggie brother Jasper. My nightmare is over. I
am the “diva” of the family. I enjoy “cuddletime” and just learned
how to shake hands! I also represent DRNT at events and love all
the hugs, kisses, smiles and attention I get from kids of all
ages! But, best of all I now can do my absolute favorite thing:
run like the wind!
